Let θ ∈ [0, 1] be any irrational number. It is shown that the extended rotation algebra Bθ introduced in [8] is always an AF algebra.

In this paper, we determine the isomorphic classes of Morita equivalent subalgebras of irrational rotation algebras. It is based on the solution of the quadratic Diophantine equations.
